Character Essay Samples - Discover How To Build Your Story
Character Essay Samples - Discover How To Build Your StoryMany students write character essays, but there are a few things you should do to make them stand out from the rest. In fact, you might find that you have to come up with several more reasons than the one you listed. But one of the most important aspects is being consistent. If you are able to follow through with this, you will find that your writing will be a lot more successful.Start by developing an outline that will help you develop a unique personality traits and characteristics for your characters. There is no right or wrong way to do this, but simply to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each character and create a 'what they can do' list. Ask yourself: What could be done to make this character into a real person? What could go wrong if this character did something? Be creative and remember that the characters in your story have flaws and they may not act the way you expect them to.Next, take the suggestions tha t came from the outline and put them together. This process is called creating a character and this is where you are going to get really creative. Write as much as you can about what this character does that you want to see done. It is important to make the character the most interesting character in the piece. Look for a combination of action and dialogue. The next step in developing a character is to give the character of their greatest strengths and weaknesses. If you follow through with this exercise, you will begin to see your story emerge as more of a character and less of a story. A story has a beginning, middle and end.Once you have your character developed, give them their lives. What would happen if this character suddenly died? What would happen if they became involved in an accident? Once you have these two elements, the rest of the story becomes a process of creating more depth in the character and connecting with their life and what they would do if they were dead. Now y ou will be ready to begin creating a plot in your story. The plot will serve as the foundation for your character. Think about what was going on in your character's life at the time of the plot in the main plot.Theme is the main theme of your story. Themes vary widely in literary fiction. You might start with a strong idea, but a strong and interesting theme will tie the other elements together and you will begin to uncover the true life story that is your story. By following through with these steps you will develop a unique and believable character.
